Top Fab Filter Plugins

In this post, we’ll look at some of Fabfilter’s Top Plugins. Right now, Fabfilter’s is having an anniversary sale. Their entire plugin line, including every bundle and individual plugin, is 30% off. This is a huge deal because Fat Filter is a company known for having high-quality, precise software, and they rarely give discounts.

If I were in the market today looking for a bundle of very good inexpensive plugins, I would go for the Fabfilter Total Bundle. It’s being blown out right now for $600.

Favorite Fabfilter Plugins Amongst Mixing Engineers and Music Producers

It’s no secret that Fabfilter has been a favorite for many years, but there are a select few that continue to pop up continuously when speaking with top engineers and producers within the industry.

• Fabfilter Pro Q3
• Fabfilter Saturn 2
• Fabfilter Pro L2

1. Fabfilter Pro-Q 3: This EQ Makes Everyone’s Job Easier

Fabfilter Pro-Q 3 is one of the best, if not the best, EQ plugins out. It’s perfect for anyone getting serious about their music, from bedroom producers to studio pros. It’s super clean and simple to use and doesn’t have a steep learning curve.

What’s really cool about Pro-Q 3 is its dynamic EQ feature, it reacts dynamically to your music. For example, it can tame harsh frequencies only when they get too loud without affecting the rest of your mix.

Plus, if you’re into getting your stereo imaging just right, the mid-side processing feature lets you EQ the middle and sides of your track separately. It’s great for cleaning up muddy mixes or making sure your vocals stand out from the background.

2. Fabfilter Saturn 2: The Secret Getting Warm and Pro Sounding Mixes

FabFilter Saturn 2 is the ultimate saturation plugin, sounds and works great for all genres, especially for Hip-hop, Drill, and Trap (any genre really). A lot of music producers use Saturn 2 for adding character to 808s, bass, synths, and drums.

It offers 28 diverse distortion styles, from subtle warmth too aggressive crunch, tailored for dynamic sound processing. Saturn 2 also features an advanced modulation system for precise rhythmic effects and up to six processing bands for targeted saturation.

Try using Saturn 2 on your mix bus and instrument bus, not just individual sounds.

3. Fabfilter Pro-L 2: Loud, Clear, Unbeatable

Fabfilter Pro-L 2 is the limiter I see in most professional recording studios. It’s a great blend of control, clarity, and reliability really makes it stand out against other limiter plugins.

With 8 unique limiting algorithms, this limiter handles everything from subtle dynamic control to aggressive loudness maximization with ease.

Another feature that truly sets the Pro-L 2 apart is its true peak limiting mode. This is needed in order to make sure hot (loud) mixes translate well without any distortion.

Conclusion: Grab Fabfilter!

Seriously, the the entire Fabfilter Suite is incredible. However, if you can only afford one of them, go with Pro Q3, you won’t be sorry. If a professional sound is what you’re after, don’t pass up on this sale.
