Reason 9.1 Adds Support for Ableton Link

Propellerhead and Ableton companies bring you Reason 9.1 with Ableton Link support.

It is the first time when two big DAWs come together offering a more complex and comprehensive solution for their users.

Reason 9.1 is the first third-party DAW to add support for Ableton’s Link technology. Producers of Reason 9.1 can effortlessly sync their music making apps across WiFi, and Link will keep all apps in tempo and time.

What can you do more? Drop in or out of the Link at any time, change tempo on one device and all the Linked apps follow suit.

Use the Link on Reason for Jam sessions with friends using Ableton Live or other Link enabled applications from your desktop or from your mobile device. Also, you can use Link to record audio sounds of your favorite iOS apps inside your Reason, in perfect sync.

What’s the real story? Let’s find out directly from Mattias Häggström Gerdt, Reason Product Manager:

Mattias Häggström Gerdt…when Ableton approached us with integrating Link in Reason I was both professionally and personally intrigued. Making music together is something entirely different from creating by yourself. It’s not better or worse, but it’s different and incredibly rewarding. Sharing your ideas and inspiring each other will lead you to musical results that never would’ve happened otherwise. With Link in Reason, it’s easier than ever to make music together—regardless of your software of choice. – says Mattias Häggström Gerdt, Reason Product Manager.

Reason 9.1 is available as a free update for all owners of Reason 9. If you own Reason 9, simply launch Reason 9 and download your free update.
