THINGS. INTUITIVE SYNTH SOUND CREATOR IT’S HERE!
THINGS allows you to create hi-quality synth sounds even if you have zero experience in synthesis.
We’ve implemented what we called “Descriptors” which are objects and ideas that will help you understand the effect of a knob and the kind of sound it will produce.

I really enjoyed playing with Things. It takes the parameters you’d normally find on an analog synth and assigns them to familiar concepts, like “rubber bands” or “arcade” so you can kind of get a sense of how each parameter will affect the sound. Pretty clever. And the sounds are pretty darn cool. I was able to get a very satisfying Prophet Five sound in the vein of Van Halen’s “Jump” keyboard motif. Sweet!
I found the arpeggiator to be a little tricky to figure out. I didn’t think I’d wind up using it much, but after some experimentation, I had my chord progression grooving to its own wild beat. It was tons of fun to play with, and resulted in some tasty tracks that I would have never gotten any other way.
All in all, Things is a worthy and fun addition to my audio toy box.
