The Cherry Audio Quadra

The Cherry Audio Quadra stands as a meticulously crafted emulation of the iconic ARP Quadra synthesizer, originally unveiled in 1978. Renowned as a rare gem in the synthesizer realm, the ARP Quadra now finds its rebirth as a virtual instrument, offering a host of enhancements to unleash its full potential.

With Quadra, improvements abound across every facet, elevating the essence of the original ARP design. Each instrument section now boasts expanded capabilities, enabling seamless layering across the keyboard and enhanced transposition ranges.

The paraphonic Poly Synthesizer segment receives a significant upgrade, featuring an additional octave, optional oscillator drift, velocity control, pulse-width modulation, and an array of new modulation options. Meanwhile, the Lead Synthesizer section receives a boost with a more robust arpeggiator, additional waveforms, adjustable note priority, and various refinements.

Quadra introduces a revamped LFO, transforming it into a versatile, multi-waveform, tempo-syncable powerhouse. Furthermore, the bender section offers deep flexibility, allowing independent pitch bend and filter cutoff modulation for each instrument section.

Incorporating the essence of the ARP Quadra, Quadra also models its legendary 14-stage phaser, alongside added effects like chorus/flanger, echo, and reverb. These effects can be toggled independently for each instrument section, enabling boundless sonic exploration and creativity.

To complement its rich feature set, Quadra boasts an extensive library of over 400 meticulously crafted presets. Led by our lead sound designer James Terris, a team of six talented sound designers, including Katharine Fountain, Huston Singletary, Julie Kathryn, Dave Polich, and Brendan Dreaper, has curated a diverse array of Quadra presets, each imbued with its own unique style and character.
