Punctuate: Auditory Transient Shaper

Punctuate is a cutting-edge multi-band transient modulator based on the Transient Emphasis section of the award-winning Elevate Mastering Limiter. Designed around the critical bands of the human ear, Punctuate allows you to control the transient emphasis or suppression of all 26 critical bands with just four intuitive controls. This makes it an incredibly powerful yet user-friendly transient modulator.

Transient shapers are essential tools for top mix engineers, who use them to enhance or soften the transients of instruments, emphasizing either the attack or sustain. Traditional transient shapers modulate the entire frequency range simultaneously, which can be problematic when the transient snap is occurring in only one band. Punctuate overcomes this limitation by employing a model of the human ear, enabling it to apply a set of transient shapers across the full spectrum of human hearing.
