What’s New in MODO DRUM 1.5

At no additional cost, you gain access to three new kits: Brit Custom, Metal, and Silver. Additionally, the introduction of Custom Shop and SE versions allows you to expand your kit selection whenever desired.

Much like the acclaimed MODO BASS software, MODO DRUM 1.5 offers an unprecedented level of realism and authenticity. It enables you to craft the perfect drum tracks by allowing detailed adjustments to every aspect of your drum kit. From the size and tension of each drum to the materials and playing styles, MODO DRUM 1.5 provides comprehensive control to create the drum sounds you’ve always envisioned.

The innovation of MODO DRUM lies in its modal synthesis technology, which overcomes the constraints of traditional drum sample libraries. This approach sets a new benchmark for realistic, natural, and customizable drum tracks.

Real-Time Sound Synthesis

Differentiating itself from conventional sample-based instruments, MODO DRUM employs IK’s award-winning modal synthesis technology paired with an optimized sound engine. This allows for real-time sound synthesis that accurately reflects each drum’s acoustic behavior based on its physical properties—dimensions, materials, skin type, and more. It also models the play style, the interaction between the drum head and body, the sympathetic vibrations among drums, and their acoustic interplay within a room.
