Discover the Baldwin Monarch Upright Piano (1927)

Step aside from the grandeur of concert halls and the playful charm of honky-tonk pianos. What we have here is a piano with unmistakable character—a personality more likely to wear a flannel shirt than a tuxedo.

Genuine Character

This piano has aged like a fine vintage, akin to a bottle of well-aged vinegar. The low end resonates with a tubby, dark richness. The mid-range is warm and inviting, while the high notes are resonant and clear, featuring the distinctive growly overtones of aged strings. Whether you seek a gritty, vintage feel or desire an intimate, authentic sound, this piano delivers on every note.

Capturing the Magic

There’s a transformative magic when you pair a less-than-perfect piano with exceptional microphones in a room that breathes with acoustics. The imperfections of the instrument, combined with meticulous sampling, provide listeners with a genuine experience, as if they’re sitting in the room with the piano.
