PG8X v2.0 Free Synth Plugin Released by Martin Lüders

PG8X v2.0 Free Synth Plugin

Martin Lüders has released PG8X v2.0, a new free virtual emulation synth plugin of the legendary Roland JX-8P analogue synthesizer, featuring the standard 2-DCO – 24dB/oct Filter design.

I think you have realized that we are talking about an upgrade. This v2.0 release is not very different compared to the first version released last year. If you missed the first version, do not worry, the new version comes with even more improvements and many initial bugs were rectified.

PG8X free synth plugin is able to provide some of the best analog sounds you’ve heard so far. You will love its 80s style bass sounds, analog pads, and lots of other cool sounds from the legendary Roland JX-8P analogue synthesizer unit.

Features:

  • Up to 12 voice polyphony
  • Two DCO’s with Saw, Square, Pulse, Noise
  • Hard Sync and Ring Modulation
  • Two exponential envelope generators
  • 24 dB resonant LP filter
  • HP filter (3 stages)
  • Stereo Chorus
  • Import and Export of JX-8P Sysex data
  • MIDI Learn: MIDI Controllers can be assigned by right-clicking on the slider
  • Automatic adjustment of oversampling

PG8X v2.0 synth plugin is available for free via Martin Lüders’ website as a 32-bit and 64-bit VST/AU plugin format for Windows and Mac OS. If you’ll find this free synth plugin useful you have the chance to repay the developer making a donation through PayPal. A user manual is also available.
