New FREE VST Couture Transient Shaper Plugin

Auburn Sounds COUTURE Free VST Plugin

Auburn Sounds have released a new free transient VST, AU plugin named Couture for Windows and Mac.

Couture is a dynamic effect plugin, the effect size depends on the level of the incoming signal.

In the first stage, users can manipulate the transients, for example, to give more character to kick drums or to thin out the “belly” of a snare drum.

Three recognition algorithms – Flat, Human and Sybil – are also available and allow detailed settings of the Transient Designer.

The user interface is designed to be very clear and contains not only the important large parameter controllers but also the oscillations in an oscilloscope.

This helps you to better estimate how the effects affect the sound. Very beautiful!

The free version dispenses with the Saturator equipped with six algorithms but has the transient shaper with the dynamic section of the big brother.

All in all, the tool is an interesting plug-in for a successful dynamic processing of all sorts of sounds and tracks.

And at a very attractive price and even with a completely free version for those who want to do without the versatile saturation.

Auburn Sounds Couture is available on the developer’s website as a “Free Version”, but there is also a “Full Edition” with all the features for a price of 39 euros.

You can pay via PayPal or Stripe. The plug-in runs on Windows Vista or higher and Mac OSX 10.8 or higher as VST, AU and AAX in 32 or 64 bit.

On the website, you will also receive a downloadable PDF manual.

I’ve heard ‘some’ good things about this transient shaper (mostly on Facebook groups) Looks like I’m going to have to give it a try.

  2. Composer says:

“Couture is a dynamic effect plugin, the effect size depends on the level of the incoming signal.”-> wouldn’t this the opposite of “level-independent”, which is what Auburn Sounds is claiming to do with Couture?
