Focusrite introduces this year at NAMM 2018 edition their new Clarett USB audio interface series that set the bar in terms of sound at an affordable price.
The Clarett USB Series includes three interfaces: Clarett 2Pre USB (10-in, 4-out), Clarett 4Pre USB (18-in, 8-out) and Clarett 8Pre USB (18-in, 20-out).
These are now also available for standard USB and USB Type-C (cable included).
The conversion takes place in 24-bit/192kHz A-D and D-A and the dynamic range should reach up to 119 dB, so you can record at the best possible quality with no problems.
The Clarett 2Pre USB is the most compact interface in the series and offers two microphone / line / instrument inputs as well as four line outputs, MIDI input and output and an ADAT input.
The Clarett 4Pre USB and Clarett 8Pre USB also offer more microphone and line inputs, S / P DIF input and output and two headphone outputs with level control.
Focusrite Control software also makes it easy to configure monitor mixes, etc. and runs on PC, Mac, and iOS devices.
The audio interfaces Focusrite Clarett 2Pre USB and 4Pre USB will be available from the end of January 2018, Clarett 8Pre USB will be available from the end of March 2018.
The recommended retail prices for the new Clarett USB audio interfaces are 419 EUR (Clarett 2Pre USB), 619 EUR (Clarett 4Pre USB) and 829 EUR (Clarett 8Pre USB).
All will ship with both standard USB and USB Type-C cables. The Clarett series can now be enjoyed on any PC or Mac with USB 2.0 (and above) connectivity.
Also, the British company, Focusrite, has announced the availability of some included software in the package, like the XLN Audio Addictive Keys, Focusrite Red Plug-in Suite, Ableton Live LITE, Softube’s Time plugin and Tone Bundle and 2GB Royalty-free samples from Loopmasters.
