K-Devices and Ableton have released Modulators, a collection four modulator devices for Max for Live (EXT3, REF, TED FX and TIP).
Contents: 4 Max Devices, 12 Live Clips, 18 Presets, 6 Live Sets
First three devices (EXT3, REF and TED FX) can be used for advanced manipulation on a single target while TIP offers different ways to switch between all kind of parameters of a target device.
EXT3 is a step-sequencer modulator and envelope that can be used to create automated patterns and creative modulations. You can use the ‘steps’ to control the target parameter and create sequences using the swing control, time variation or time resolution. You can also adjust the envelopes, set different lengths for each step and the smoothness of transitions between these steps.
REF is an envelope follower that can use an audio source to modulate any parameter, offering accurate visual feedback on the results.
TED FX is a fully customizable LFO, featuring 6 blendable LFO waveforms, cycle repetition controls, advanced wave shaping parameters and more.
TIP is a unique grid-based device controller capable to take up to 64 snapshots of your target device parameters and store them in a cell of TIP’s grid. After you take the snapshots you can switch between them by designing automations or use other random functions. You can instantly randomize up to 264 of any device’s parameters, with the option to exclude some functions, such as the volume and dry/wet functions.
Modulators by K-Devices is available for purchase via Ableton website for 39 EUR / $49 USD. Requires Ableton Live 9 Standard (version 9.5 or higher), Max for Live.
