Whitebox Synth Makers new releases Mellotronica free for download instrument pack for Ableton Live.

Whitebox Pixi PACK features WHITEBOX Pixiphone, an ambient M4L instrument that models a child’s toy then enlarges it with spectral delay, reverb, brightness, hit strength, attack and decay. Interesting results range from ethereal vibraphones to metallic mallets to tinkling bells.

The heart of the device is a re-work of Pluggo’s Big Ben Bell to create 8 new preset tones.

8 controls on the outside are complemented by access to more on the inside to further customise the sound. Grouped with 2 M4L envelope followers to randomise brightness and spectral delay, teamed with a random auto filter this Live Rack delivers plenty of variations on the basic tinkler.

Whitebox 8-BOX PACK. In almost Classical/Moondog mood this Pack has been created using a cut-down of Whitebox M4L instrument “8-BOX” teamed with Ableton’s Chamber Trio Delay. Eight algorithms provide varied preset synth sounds you can tweak with A,R and Cut off.
