Rob Papen has recently released MasterMagic a new mastering plugin available in VST and AU format for Windows and MAC users. From the beginning, we can observe that MasterMagic is completely different than we would have expected. Because it does not produce any sounds, nor is it an effect plugin for synthesizers and samples – it helps you with mix and mastering, brings air and better depths.
Who does not love magic ?! And there are not a few situations in the studio when we want magic to happen and our mix to sound perfect. According to developer guru Rob Papen, this is now possible with his new plug-in Mastermagic.
The operation is very easy. The plug-in should be placed as the last instance in the master channel. In the middle sits a “big knob”, which you should turn up in a clockwise direction. And then magic happens. The sound gets more highs and the stereo image goes up. And without problems.
You can also set the split frequency as well as the frequency band for the EQ. The Presets bar sits at the top of the MasterMagic window that has two slots, A and B, in which to store two variations of the Preset.
Rob Papen MasterMagic The plug-in is included in the upcoming eXplorer 5 Bundle. eXplorer 4 owners get the upgrade for free.
The plug-in runs on Mac OSX 10.6 or higher and Windows Vista or higher as AU, VST and AAX in 32 or 64 bit.
