IK Multimedia announces the UNO Synth, their first monophonic analog synthesizer launched on the market.
IK Multimedia dares to expand its product catalog with nothing less than the first hardware synthesizer.
Massive analog sound and practical programming in an easy-to-use device, promise the Italians.
The fact that the company has experience in software emulations has been clear since Synthonik, but hardware is something else.
The IK Multimedia UNO Synth offers a wide sound palette – from typical classical to modern sounds it should be able to cover a lot.
Under the hood of the UNO synths, houses a synthesizer engine with professional sound and an analogue tone generation, which does not have to shy away from comparison with far more expensive synthesizers.
According to the developer, the engine of the IK Multimedia Uno Synth is characterized by a rich, warm, powerful and deep bass, which forms the basis of a high-quality monophonic synthesizer.
UNO Synth also offers a wide range of sounds, drones, arps, sequences, sweeps and effects.
Although monophonic, the two independent oscillators of UNO Synth can of course be tuned differently to achieve interesting pad-like interval sounds or octaves.
The pulse width modulation of each oscillator completes the excellent image and offers extended tones of classic synthesizers, appreciated by large modular systems.
The all-analog filter generates the warmth, depth and rich sound expected of a true analog synthesizer.
100 preset sounds are shipped from the factory, of which 80 are executed as overwritable user patches.
Each sound has an arpeggiator pattern and a sequence figure.
More than 40 controls allow instant access to the parameters. For further editing, IK Multimedia offers an editor for the UNO Synth (Mac / PC).
A 27-key keyboard, whose two octaves can be used chromatically or with 13 different scales, allows playing directly on the device.
The arpeggiator offers 10 different patterns over a range of 4 octaves.
Via an audio input, another source can be fed directly into the IK Multimedia UNO Synth, MIDI IN / OUT allows the connection of a master keyboard and via USB MIDI, the UNO Synth can be integrated into the DAW.
The IK Multimedia UNO Synth can now be pre-ordered via the IK Multimedia website.
The list price is net 199.99 euros plus. VAT The first synthesizers will be delivered in July.
