EXHALE Modern Vocal Engine Plugin by Output

Plugin Boutique announce the availability of EXHALE, “the world’s first modern vocal engine” plugin at their online store.

“For years, vocal instruments have provided a way to portray the sound of a real live singer or choir in a track. In speaking with music makers, Output found the number one frustration with vocal instruments was that nothing was modern, or in line with today’s current records, film scores and sound design. That is the world of EXHALE.”

“As musicians, we’ve always wanted a vocal instrument that was cool, creative and modern…so we decided to build it!” –  says Gregg Lehrman (Output Founder ).

EXHALE was developed by Output company, the same who are responsible for the creation of SIGNAL and REV. EXHALE features a new vocal engine built from the ground up with industry-leading modulation, tempo synced FX, pitch shifting and more. The powerful engine features three distinct modes: Notes for chromatic playing, Loops for looping vocal elements, and Slices for sliced vocal phrases.

EXHALE is a playable vocal engine built for producers, composers, artists and sound designers. 25 sound designers tweaked EXHALE for 6 months to get the perfect sounds. For this process, they used analog and vintage gear, tape machines, vocoders and more.
