With Electribe Wave Korg released an Electribe software version for the Apple iPad, which offers a wavetable sound engine, a “quick input” sequencer and chord pads, with which it should be possible to play complete chords with just one finger.
A simple operation with direct access to all parameters and a chord pad to make the app fit for productions in the areas EBM, Dance, and Trap.
The basis of the Electribe Wave is a wavetable sound engine, which, in contrast to a PCM synthesizer, continuously reproduces small fragments of short waveforms and alters the position within the waveforms as they are rendered.
The Sound Engine combines a pool of wavetables (with a large number of presets) with a variety of filtering and modulation options. The sequencer has 16 parts, eight for synths and eight for drums.
The combination of wavetables and elaborate filtering and modulation units are said to produce innovative sounds that would not be possible with a standard PCM synthesizer.
The sequences can be arranged in a song mode and summarized and then exported as a complete audio file or as individual tracks.
The app also includes an integrated Kaoss pad with 29 effects plus many more cool features.
ELECTRIBE app for iPad is available now in the Apple App Store priced at 29,99 € regular. Special price for the product launch (including VAT): € 19.99 (only valid until 30.09.2018).
Compatible devices: iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation), iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad mini 4, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2.
