Waves introduces Cobalt Saphira, a new harmonic enhancement plugin that allows you to mix the harmonics using EQ, even and odd harmonic balancing (Edge and Warmth), various harmonic modes, and more. Cobalt Saphira is the first plugin that does that.
Cobalt Saphira gives you a full palette of analog colors that can be digitally tailored exactly how you like it. You can use 4 main controls:
- Edge and Warmth – for separately controlling and balancing even and odd harmonics
- 4-band EQ – for separately shaping the frequency spectrum of each type of harmonics
- Harmonics modes – seven different modes, with graphical representation so you can see the changes in harmonic structure
- Tape – five tape speeds for adding wow-and-flutter modulation in order to give your tracks extra musicality and depth
Cobalt Saphira offers a wide variety of harmonic structures, and it’s important that you experiment with them to hear the differences. Use the Send and Return sliders to control the signal’s harmonics. The Send control defines what portion of the signal’s amplitude will receive the selected harmonics. Higher settings mean that more generated harmonics are added to the signal.
Cobalt Saphira is available in VST, VST3, AU, Audiosuite, AAX, RTAS plugin formats for Windows and MAC and can be purchased from our official partner, PluginBoutique.com – best web-store for plugins.
Cobalt Saphira is available separately or as part of the Mercury, Pro Show and SD7 Pro Show plugin bundles. If you already own one of these bundles and a current Waves Update Plan, you may get the latest version of the bundle, including Cobalt Saphira, free of charge.
