Max Project in collaboration with CPS has released Carma, a new free synthesizer instrument audio plugin for Windows.
This is their first plugin released together and was designed specifically for electronic music production. Carma includes two different oscillators with eight waveforms each and a FM and also comes with Ring modulation option. Besides this features, Carm also includes two LFOs, an arpeggiator, a flexible matrix section for individual modulations and some useful effects such as delay, reverb, EQ and a chorus.
The filter section provides a 303 filter for acid sounds and more others different filter modes. In the “presets” section we found 70 presets, 54 shaped by Max Project and 16 by CPS. All these presets can be used for music genres like EDM, House, Future House, Trance and more.
As you can see, the graphic interface looks pretty good: a combination of blue with orange screens and side-edges that mimic wood. At the top are the oscillators and AMP Envelope. In the middle section, we find controls for filters, master volume, the arpeggiator and the LFO’s. Below is the equalizer, effects (listed above). Because everything is combined well, this plugin is very intuitive and easy to use.
Carma free synth is available for exclusive download via Noizefield website (2.8MB compressed). It comes in VST 32-bit plugin format, so you can use Carma only on Windows music programs.
