Audiomodern FREE Panflow Panning VST Plugin

Audio panning plays a big role in professional mixing. Mixing artists often distribute signals in the stereo field to create spaces and make mixes sound more realistic. The pan controls of DAWs usually offer only a few options. Panflow from Audiomoders, on the other hand, is bursting with possibilities. Panflow is a creative panning free audio plugin that can be used to shape complex panning patterns and add random, rhythmic motion to any audio track in real-time.

Panflow calls itself a panning modulator. It allows creative effects in the stereo field via a clear interface and a random function. Thus, one exposes a signal to complex movement and rhythmic effects.

A graphical editor controls the effects. There you draw in the movements by hand. A large button above the editor triggers the randomise function, while the smaller ones next to it take over the respective parameters. On the left side, you set the complexity of the curve in three stages, while on the right side you set the shape with which the individual points are connected.

The modulations can be used rhythmically in sync with the song’s tempo. In addition, you get a modern graphical interface where you can draw and set everything with your mouse.

Pan effects of any kind are easy with Panflow – whether you want to move a signal from left to right in a mystical and unpredictable way, or you want different instruments to make some space for the vocals when mixing. More special effects are also interesting, as the guitar in the second example shows: Here the tool creates more of a tremolo effect.

iPhone and iPad users can install the tool via the App Store, which Audiomodern has conveniently linked on Panflow’s page. So the available formats are VST2, VST3, AU, AUv3 and AAX.

Panflow by Audiomodern is Panning 2.0, and there are absolutely no limits to your imagination with this ingenious tool. The plugin is packed with great features and creative ideas that make panning anything but boring: Randomise, Infinity, Smoothing, Wet/Dry, Threshold and Range, just to name a few. MIDI CC integration also allows you to control other devices via Panflow. One of the best freeware plugins 2022!
