Apple has released a new version of Logic Pro X, its professional music production software today, with performance updates for all users and tweaks that unlock the power of the all-new Mac Pro. Logic Pro X 10.4.5 update now supports up to 56 processing threads, allowing professional music producers and film composers to tackle incredibly demanding music projects with unprecedented ease.
The Mac Pro together with Logic Pro X 10.4.5 allows professional musicians to do things that were previously impossible in the production process. With the new Mac Pro, Logic can even run up to five times as many real-time plug-ins as the current generation Mac Pro. Logic Pro X 10.4.5 increases the available track and channel count for all users and now supports up to 1,000 audio and 1,000 software instrument tracks, resulting in four times the number of tracks available in the most complex productions.
In addition, Logic Pro X now supports 1,000 aux channel strips, 1,000 external MIDI tracks, and 12 sends per channel strip. Users can also expect improved mixer and event list responsiveness when working with large sessions, and projects with multiple flex time edits and tempo changes are more efficient than ever.
The loop browser can filter by loop type and allows simultaneous drag and drop of multiple audio loops into a project. The redesigned DeEsser 2 plugin offers more options to reduce sibilance on audio tracks. MIDI beat clocks can be sent to individual ports, each with unique settings such as timing offset and plug-in delay compensation.
The new updated version of Logic Pro X is available for free on the Mac App Store for all Logic Pro X users. Enjoy!
