McDSP has released a few days ago their new AE600 active EQ plugin created to deliver more bands, more equalizer and filter modes, and an improved user interface compared with its predecessor, AE400.
AE600 is an active equalizer that provides six overlapping, fixed, and active equalizer bands. Each band has its own gain and frequency control, as well as control instances for Q and EQ mode. These include parametric, Baxandal shelving and ” Vintage Style ” equalizers, parametric Q modes with proportional and fifth Q as well as multiple filter modes.
In addition, each band has control for Attack, Release, Ratio and Threshold. The tapes can be controlled independently, support sidechain and output the signal in mono or stereo if needed.
Additionally, a ratio control determines input signal level sensitivity to further articulate how the active EQ will reach maximum active equalization – a unique feature of the AE600 (and AE400) active equalizers by McDSP.
A large display for visual feedback and several metering options are also included.
Features:
- Six fully overlapping fixed and active EQ bands
- Independent control over all fixed and active EQ parameters per band
- Selectable EQ mode per fixed and active bands
- Unique active EQ ratio response control
- Side chain support
- Double precision processing
- Ultra low latency
- Mono and stereo versions
McDSP AE600 plugin is available for Windows and Mac (VST, AU) priced at $ 149. Before buying it you can try the free demo version – for more details and download options follow the link below.
